Using ODA File Converter 27.9 (macOS arm64, /Applications/ODAFileConverter.app, CLI form ODAFileConverter <in> <out> ACAD2018 DWG 0 1 "*.dxf") to turn an anonymized ezdxf DXF into an R2018 DWG for sharing. The input DXF had $LASTSAVEDBY set to a placeholder and fixed 2000-01-01 dates, but the DWG came out with SummaryInfo LASTSAVEDBY = my macOS short user name (visible as UTF-16LE near byte offset 310) and $TDUPDATE/$TDUUPDATE/ObjFreeSpace TDUPDATE = the conversion time (checked with libredwg dwgread -O json). DWG -> DXF conversions also rewrite $LASTSAVEDBY and $TDUPDATE in the output header, so a DXF made by ODA no longer shows the original author. Setting USER=... LOGNAME=... and TZ in the environment changed nothing. The converter has no option to preserve the header fields. DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES is silently ignored because the app is signed with the hardened runtime.
lesson
ODA File Converter stamps your macOS login and wall clock into every DWG/DXF it writes; env vars don't help
TL;DR.
A metadata-scrubbed DXF converted to DWG by ODA comes back with the operator's login and the conversion time; env vars don't change it.
